The Allianz Arena is Bayern Munich stadium located in the north-Munich. Opened in May 2005 with a friendly match between TSV 1860 Munchen and 1. FC Nurnberg, the stadium will play host to the opening game of the 2006 World Cup. It Replaced the old Olympiastadion as the home stadium of FC Bayern Munchen and TSV 1860 Munchen. It has been designed by the swiss architectural firm Herzog & de Meuron.

The stadium will boasts a capacity of 66,000 and exterior shell features 1056 diamond shaped panels, which can be individually lit in different colours (red, blue or white), allowing a spectacular display of moving patterns.
