SK Rapid Wien - Formed 1899
The Gerhard-Hanappi Stadium is a football stadium in Hütteldorf. It is the home ground of Rapid Vienna. It was officially opened in 1977 as Weststadion & in 1980 it was renamed to honor its architect, legendary Austrian football player Gerhard Hanappi. Among fans the stadium is also known as "Sankt Hanappi" (Saint Hanappi), which relates to the fans' slogan Rapid ist uns're Religion. Its capacity of 18,500 makes it the second largest football stadium in Vienna, after the Ernst Happel Stadion.
